Pertačka mosque

Hadži Ibrahimova or Pertačka mosque is the oldest mosque in Visoko, which was built at the end of the 15th century, and according to some data, the exact year of construction was 1477. A particularly interesting part of the mosque is a minaret built of tuff, a stone that was taken from the nearby river Fojnica. The minaret, like the whole enterior of this mosque, suffered numerous damage during the aggression in BiH, but thanks to good people, the mosque was restored in 2001, and retained its original appearance. General reconstruction and upgrading was carried out in 2007.

It’s a well-known fact that the oldest mosques in Visoko are Pertačka and Šerefudinova (“Čaršijska”). Opinions are divided on which of them are older, but at the same time it leads to the conclusion that they are roughly approximate to their age. Unfortunately, there is nowhere written evidence about that  who and when built mosque.
